i have to find a casual conversation,a religious sermon for my coursework and then Identify the essential defining characteristics of each speech event, focusing on the salient linguistic characteristics which distinguish one speech event from the other and so on
actually i am a bit confuse and don't know where to start,how to do....any adevice or help pleaseeeee...thank you veryy much

Although a sermon isn't strictly a conversation; perhaps the assigment is to find the elements of the sermon that function like a conversation. -
